Pyrenean Mastiff Association of America

In December 2021, several Pyrenean Mastiff owners and breeders began to build a new club that would bring together pet owners, breeders and breed enthusiasts. This group of founding members worked intensely for 8 months with a focus on creating a club that would provide support and resources for those interested in the breed. The founding members worked to find and provide an extensive web-based tool set to help in managing the club, in supporting its members and the community. In May 2022, the Pyrenean Mastiff Association of America (PMAA) was formally made known to AKC after establishing itself as a State Non-profit and a Federal Non-profit with Public Charity status. PMAA began accepting members at the end of July 2022. The launch of the club was a success. Effort was made to show the community that the club would be doing its absolute best to bring breed education to the United States. By promoting various educational topics. The founding members began populating the PMAA website with information on all aspects of the Pyrenean Mastiff, including the procurement and translation of breed origin and history documents.
